Barb

Director of The Biggest Little Swim School Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, Infant and Pre-school , Access and Inclusion, Adults Competitive Strokes and Royal Lifesaving Community Trainer

Hi all my name is Barb I will be your contact through email or phone mostly, if you have any issues please don't hesitate to call or email me. I am around the centre most days and also work from home, as I have 4 gorgeous grandsons ranging from11-5yrs old they keep me busy when I'm not in the centre. My favourite thing to do when I get time away from it all is to spend time at Peaceful Bay, its remote and takes you back to basics I love that and the snorkelling is amazing.

Hi, I'm Sam! You'll see me on Sunday at Claremont with the JLG group. When I'm not at the pool, I'm mostly likely running around and having a ball with my husband and our children, aged six and four (2021). I am currently studying Education Support and, all going well, will graduate this year 2022. I enjoy running and swimming and also love to potter in the garden... Edibles are my favourite plants to grow, especially flowers! We don't have any pets at the moment but I'm really hoping that there will be chickens scratching around our backyard in the future.

My Name is Tracey I am a grandmother of 6 grandchildren our latest is due this year 2023 (a little girl) that makes 3 girls and 4 boys, I am a hands on grandmother and love every minute I spend with them. I have a passion for horses and though I don’t ride anymore it was once a regular part of my life, I still have horses, 2 in fact plus an extra one that we look after, I love to have my horses around and sit and watch them running around their paddock. years ago in another lifetime I was a swimmer and now I just love to be with the babies in the water and teach them how to swim. You will find me at the pool on Sunday and I help in the office on Mondays and Tuesdays and I fill in where I’m needed. You may get emails from me as well or the odd phone call. My Hobbies are looking after all my grandchildren and the garden at my house which is quite large we have 5 acres, I spend time looking after my fishpond and fighting the Shags for the fish I try and breed, sometimes I'm the winner and sometimes the Shags eat them all!

I work on Monday and Wednesday at the pool and also do Facebook marketing for the swim school. I love the time I spend at the pool and working with the team at the swim school. In my spare time, I assist my husband with our family business. I have 3 boys, a stepdaughter, and a stepson, I am a very proud Nanna of 2 grandchildren and love to spend time with them both. I relax doing yoga, watching a good movie, walking along the beach, relaxing in my spa, and spending time with my grandies and great Niece. weekends are spent on our new boat with my hubby and family and friends

My name is Emma and I work Saturday mornings at the swim school. I am a Mum to two teenagers and have worked as a corporate accountant for the last 20 years. Teaching swimming is a chance for me to get away from my desk and have some fun! Running is my main hobby so don't be surprised if you see me doing laps of Lake Monger on the way to the pool.

Michaela

Hi my name is Michaela I am currently studying a Bachelor of Youth Work at Uni I'm in my first year 2021 of a 3-4 year degree. I work Monday, Tuesday, Saturdays and Sundays at the swim school. I love Netball but haven’t played for a while. I have a Cavoodle named Yumi (Japanese) who I have heaps of fun spending time with. I relax spending time with my family and friends, enjoying my favourite foods and Reading drawing or painting.

Louise

Hi I’m Louise or Lou I have always loved swimming either at my local pool or in the ocean. I have 2 teenagers a boy and a girl and a husband too! We also have a Whippet called Wilma and a Schnauzer called Rosie. As a family we ride mountain bikes and we like to explore WA in our caravan. You will find me in the pool teaching on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

I My name is Jess Sandford I play water polo and netball I work on Wednesday’s and Sundays. I graduated high school in 2020 and am currently at uni, I am hoping to be a paramedic. I have a 6 year old staffy called Archie. My hobbies include going to the beach, being with friends and camping.

Imogen

Swimming Teacher and Water Safety

Hey, I’m Imogen! You’ll see me in the pool on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons. I’m currently at university studying a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, and if I’m not there, I’m working with WAFL football players as a sports trainer. I’ve grown up swimming competitively and being surrounded by my Mum and three sisters who are all passionate swimming teachers too! Before I moved to Perth in 2022, I lived in the beautiful town of Esperance on our family farm. I played a whole range of sports, from netball, to horse riding and even a sport called tetrathlon- for which I even got to compete at the National Championships! When I was young, my favourite thing about swimming lessons were how fun my teachers were, so I hope that I can be just that for your children too!

Hi, my name is Alesha, and I am from Kojonup. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies 2023) and I am also a qualified Special Needs Education Assistant. You will see me at the swim school on a Friday afternoon and a Sunday morning. I love sport and I am currently playing hockey for a Perth hockey club. My hobbies are playing hockey, swimming, being with friends and family and being out on the farm.
